Flower Girl

Flower girls by no means need a dress to make them cute when they walk down the aisle! I have always thought they were just the cutest part of the wedding. Some cute ways to make the flower girl stand out are having her wear... flowers! Here are some of my favorite dresses, shoes, and accessories!

Benson Wedding

Petal loves being a part of weddings that have unique details and the wedding we are sharing with you today is full of them!  Mary Ellen & Owen’s big day revolved at the Parkside Marina at Smith Mountain Lake in mid August.  You couldn’t have a better place to get married… Right by the Blue Ridge Mountains on a beautiful beach front with a weathered circus merry-go-round for a touch of whimsy.  The flowers were a perfect addition to set off the pale yellow color scheme.  Flowers with lots of texture and organic movement in shades of bright blue, yellow, purple, and white.  Antique blue mason jars filled with yellow mardi gra solidago, dahlias, roses tan scabiosa pods, baby’s breath, and blue thistle was the focus of the tables nestled next to stacks of old books, tea cups, and lanterns. A shabby desk covered with framed family pictures and a basket of programs sat perched under a big oak tree to welcome guests as they arrived.  This casual lakeside wedding was a beautiful celebration between two friends committing their lives to each other and we wish the best to Mary Ellen and Owen!

DeGrandis Wedding

This beautiful wedding was located in Fishersville, VA  on a warm November day at sunset with rolling hills of grape vines as the background.  Jess and Michael are two of the easiest people to be around and their wedding reflected their casual and friendly attitudes.  Their wedding flowers were nothing short of perfection for the southern scape with flower choices of purple Kale, Dahlia’s, and yellow Billy Balls to add a touch of whimsy. Flower filled mason jars held by twine lined the aisles to bring a touch of rustic elegance to the ceremony.  And the cake…a masterpiece with its bold and rich, chocolate color was the perfect canvas for a few clusters of bright buds. From the venue to the bride and groom, this wedding was top notch from start to finish.  We were so honored to work with Jess and Michael and we wish them the absolute best.
